Welcome to the Jooproperty Forum!
Now we are starting here also with the forum and I hope we will have here lots of discussion and feedback about our component.
We will inform you here about the development, actual features and so on.
The basic component with import function of an old com-property v3 or v4 database is working well.
We already have to templates - one is original default com-property template.
For further feature please watch out the demo:
www.jooproperty.com/en/jooproperty-realt...m-property-demo.html
and the our next posting.
Kind regards,
Oliver

Hi,
So this is com-property working on joomla 1.7 with all of the bugs ironed out?
Does the google map search work?
Is it open source (can I customise it like I previously customised com-property)?
I currently use acesef on my site, would this still work?
How does it work exactly? Do I install joomla 1.7, then joomproperty as component and then import data?
Do the back and front end work in the same way as com-property?
20 euros and you send it to me via email?
Cheers.

Hi Matt,
jooproperty uses only in the first version the database model of com-property to get all the existing data imported.
After this the database model is amplified to put all the new features in it.
We changed lots of code and find out lots of bugs.
What do you mean with "google map search"?
You can specify in the backend the location of a property by mouse picking, in frontend the google map will be shown and in future we will have also a google map with all properties in near zone.
We wanted to make them open source and therefor we tried to make a very low price.
The development cost a lot and it is not made in free time like com-property is made - I had to pay a programer and therefor we can go on faster, but on the other side it is not cheap.
The basic version will be cost 20 € and a one year upgrade 40€/50€.
Also there will be some special plugins to pay for - but everything at cheap prices.
The functionality we will have is very special for property agents, because we are developing with 2 agents.
Migration:
What you have to do please read in the Migration Section.
You can migrate a copy of you existing site or you make a new one and only import from the other database, than you have to copy the com-properties files in images/ manually.
Please check out the rest: frontend is not already implemented but will work later much better than com-property.
The component you will not get before the 28.02. maybe a little bit later but, only if the target of 2000 € will be reached - otherwise you will get back your money - it is everything explained, so please read it!
If you would like to have some special features we can talk about personal development if it is possible in our roadmap, but we have to charge
you for this.
Please sent an email or put your suggestions in the other section.
Check out functionality, this weekend a update regarding booking functionality.
Kind regards,
Oliver

Hi,
I mean google map search / mashup like on the com-property website:
www.com-property.com/es/properties-in-map.html
There is already a clickable map to insert properties in the current version of com-property.
I would like to see a working demo site/frontend/backend before paying for this extension, and of course would expect to receive the product upon payment. I will call back at the end of the month to see if things are any further on.
Cheers.

Hi Mat,
on that module we are working next days.
You can see it than here on the demo section.
Also other steps we have realized till now.
Regarding payment: I think we had to change the way because for sure it doesn't make sense to give the component away for peanuts. I already paid a lot of money - much more than the 2000 € I tried to collect to compensate that investment.
If someone is interested in the component and his professional features like booking, price definition with saisons, etc. than he can pay for it. The only problem is to avoid the distribution in internet without paying before I compensate the main part of the investment.
Check it out here in the next weeks and lets see what happens...

Hi,
I am impressed with what I see to date, and I for one will be will be willing to pay as and when my payment guarantees immediate reception of the component.
Regarding the distribution of the component, you say that you cannot distribute it yet as people will copy it and you won’t even get back your initial investment. I understand that jomres is open source and they do not seem to have any problems marketing there product on the internet.
Do you have a demo for the admin area (front and back end)?
Cheers.
